RMK-2 Compatibility

If you plan to use one or more HDR-10's with our RMK-2 rack kit, please note that while the combined max output is 80W, the individual power outputs on the are each 8.4W max, exceeding this may damage the output's fuse and require repair.

The power consumption of HDR-10 fluctuates depending on the task, as well as the brand of SSD, so running it off a single RMK-2 output is not recommended.

Each HDR-10 draws 12W max, so you will need to make a custom Y cable to draw power from two outputs to power one HDR-10.

More information about the DC Barrel connectors we use is available here.

Invalid Input Signal

If you see the text “CAPTURE INVALID INPUT STREAM” in the top of the screen, it tells you about a mismatch between the set video format and the incoming video signal.

You can find the video format parameter in the TOOLS menu, accessible from the HOME menu.

  • Connect a video source to the video input, set at the same format as you are planned to work with.

  • Also connect the USB jog shuttle and a video monitor at the AUX output for the OSD interface.

  • Boot the HDR-10 as normal and verify if you get a video image.
If it is not, then the unit likely is set to a non-compatible format to your video monitor.

No Video Output

If you experience no video output from both program out and aux out, you likely need to change the video standard to one your workflow supports.

The factory default is currently 1080i59.94. But if you set it to 1080p 50, 59.94, or 60, some switchers and monitors do not support 3G SDI, so you will need to first connect the Aux output to a SDI monitor capable of Level A 3G SDI, or a SDI to HDMI converter capable of 3G SDI into a TV/Monitor capable of 1080p, and change the video standard via the system menu.

Home Mode > Tools > System Tools > Video Format
(see page 9 of the manual for more details)

If you do not have any equipment capable of Level A 3G SDI, please contact [email protected] regarding a flash utility that will set the format to 1080i50, after which you can change it to the video standard of your workflow.
