How to Update the HDR-10 Firmware
To update your HDR-10, you must run both the SSD update via an SSD, and the USB update via a USB thumb drive.
These steps apply to the SH-1 jog shuttle controller bundled with the HDR-10A. If you are using the RMC-400 controller, you can access the menu by selecting the unit you wish to update and pressing the Menu button.
If you have an issue where the HDR-10 has no video output, please click here, the original factory setting was 1080p60, and it is likely that your SDI monitor does not support it.
If you see the AUX output on your monitor and would like to change the video standard, select TOOLS VIDEO FORMAT from the main menu.
If you only have a RMC-400 and not the SH-1, your current HDR-10 firmware may not support it. To gain control of the HDR-10, you must install the CTL USB update first, and then run the HDR SSD update.
