At all Datavideo worldwide offices (hereinafter referred to as “Datavideo”), we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services that your registration brings / entitles you to. On this page you’ll find information on how we treat data that we collect from registered customers and visitors to our website. On May 25, 2018, the most significant piece of European data protection legislation to be introduced in 20 years will come into force when the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the 1995 Data Protection Directive. This statement is compliant to the new GDPR rules and affects all worldwide offices of Datavideo.

Visitors to our Website

When a visitor (you) visits https://www.datavideo.com or any subsidiary website, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the journey people take around our website. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

This tracking mechanism analyses the products that our customers view and creates a “target audience” to which we can target out Facebook and Instagram advertisements. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

 

Product registration

When a customer registers a product on our website, personal information is shared to Datavideo. This information will be used to identify customers who bought certain products for warranty issues. Next to that we use your personal information to send you marketing emails about our products or events that we’re hosting. Each of these emails will contain an “unsubscribe” button in the footer which you can use if you want to opt out. 

If you have registered on our website, you have voluntarily provided information about yourself, which includes:

  • First name, Last name
  • Contact information (ex: email, phone)
  • Address and order information
  • Company, group assignment
  • Products and equipment you use


This information is stored on the Datavideo web servers and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. 

Your information is used for marketing communication use and therefore stored on servers by a third party company called Mailchimp. Each email sent by us through Mailchimp will have an “unsubscribe” button in the footer to opt out of this emails. Reseller Area

Resellers of Datavideo products are asked to create an account on our designated Reseller Area. This area is meant to update distributors, wholesale and dealers of Datavideo equipment on new products, price lists, exhibitions and other news. By registering yourself to the Reseller Area it’s possible that you transfer personal information such as your name, last name or email address to Datavideo. 

This information is stored on the Datavideo web servers and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. This Reseller Area uses Wordpress as “Content Management System” and it is possible that some of your personal information is transferred to Wordpress servers as well.
