If you experience scrambled closed captioning when using your DAC-7, please contact our office for a firmware update for your unit, specifying whether you need NTSC 7.5 IRE, NTSC 0 IRE, or PAL.
Update instructions:
-Power down your DAC-7
-Run the installer
-Connect your DAC-7 to a PC via a standard 9-pin serial cable
-Select the option to search all available ports
-You will then see a progress bar moving
-Power on your DAC-7
-Select the option to update the device automatically
-When completed, power cycle the DAC-7 and your issue should be resolved
