PC Output to SE-500
Troubleshooting

If outputting CG, video, or still images from a PC or Mac to your SE-500 using an HDMI to Analogue converter, you may experience issues with the color space of the image.

An example would be a pin or green tint to the image.

One reason could be that the converter is not compatible with your signal. Your computer treats the converter as an additional monitor, it has an EDID code that tells your PC/Mac what it is.

It's possible that your default display settings get confused and send a RGB signal thinking it's a computer monitor, when actually it should be a YUV signal going to a TV type display, which in this case would be your SE-500, being the device between your video source and output monitor.

PC & Windows 7 / 10

Unfortunately there are not many options for your display in Windows if using integrated graphics. If you have an additional graphics card, there may be options to adjust the color space in the card's control panel software.

To resolve this on a PC, try disconnecting, waiting 2 seconds, and reconnecting the HDMI cable to try and refresh the device. There may be an EDID conflict causing this issue.

OSX 10.x

To resolve on a Mac, go to Preferences > Displays. The converter is listed as an additional TV. There are two radio buttons, Default for Display, and Scaled. Set it to 1080i and see if that resolves the issue.
