Datavideo Introduces Versatile Multi-Port Streaming Server

Launching at IBC 2013, Datavideo is a broadcast quality HD H.264 network streaming server. Unlike many encoding devices, NVS-20 is equipped with a variety of video and audio inputs that enable users to integrate the unit quickly into virtually any workflow.

Designed for live event streaming, the device is lightweight and portable. It encodes at up-to 6Mb/s, delivering a high quality, low latency media stream. Equipped with HD/SD-SDI, HDMI and composite video inputs, XLR connectors and a stereo audio port, the system has the versatility that live event producers, location video crews and AV companies require.

It can sit on the desktop or be easily rack-mounted and it can be controlled locally or remotely. At the same time, it delivers the basic HD and SD encoding function with aplomb."

NVS-20 is designed to supports multiple streaming protocols (including HLS, TS over IP, RTP, RSTP and Flash), making it suitable for a range of distribution networks, whether users are streaming to local iPads, globally via a CDN or over a local network.

Users also have flexibility when it comes to device control and management. Supporting DHCP client the unit can be remotely controlled using any computer or mobile device with a web browser. Real-time video with audio data can be monitored through the web UI. Alternatively, it can be operated using the simple mode selector on the unit itself.
