Building on the existing 4K video system comprising of PTC-280 4K PTZ camera, and KMU-200 4K Multi-Channel Touch Screen Region of Interest Switcher, Datavideo’s 4K video product roadmap is now more complete with the launch of HDR-80 ProRes 4K Desktop Video Recorder and HDR-90 ProRes 4K 1U Rackmount Video Recorder, providing users with more professional record quality.
The HDR-80 (Desktop) / 90 (Rackmount) 4K recorders use a 10-bit ProRes 422 compressed codec for recording UHD 4K videos. Apple ProRes, a codec technology developed for high-quality, high-performance editing in Final Cut Pro X, is one of the most popular codecs in professional post-production. The HDR-80/90 recorders are equipped with one HDMI 2.0 input, one HDMI 1.4 input, one 12G-SDI input, and four 3G-SDI inputs. The three input modes available at these input ports allow you to simultaneously record up to 4 HD video channels to ProRes files for more possibilities at post-production.
The built-in 5-inch touch screen equipped with HDR-80/90 recorders allows you to view and record the video at the same time. The screen is not only able to clearly show the video being recorded, it is also a touch screen that makes UI easy and intuitive. The recorder’s zebra pattern, histogram, and vectorscope will assist you in determining the proper exposure for the record videos.
Behind the touch screen, there are two 2.5” SSD slots. When one disk is full while the recording is still in progress, the recorder will automatically switch to another disk to continue, thereby avoiding interruption of video recording. To users of long video recording, a dual disk recorder will be your choice of protection.
